Rain (2005) for SSA Choir and Piano (with optional Violin and Wind Chimes) [3:30]
Rain
by Melody Dawning
It’s raining
It’s pouring
It takes a rainstorm
To make a flower grow
And it must go through some bad
Before the good can show
It’s a mystery
Why people hate the rain
Without it this world would be so plain
‘Cause the rain falling, falling
Reminds me that the
Stormy days, the clouds, the gloom
Can make a life begin to bloom
So when the trials come calling, calling
God whispers gently
Telling me that rain showers
Transform seeds to gorgeous flowers
It takes some hardships
To make a person grow
And you must go through some bad
Before good traits can show
It’s a mystery
Why people complain
God’s transforming you
Like a flower in the rain
‘Cause the rain falling, falling
Reminds me that the
Stormy days, the clouds, the gloom
Can make a life begin to bloom
So when the trials come calling, calling
God whispers gently
Telling me that rain showers
Transform seeds to gorgeous flowers
It’s raining
It’s pouring
